Position Available: Credit Controller (6 Month Fixed Term Contract)

Location: Gloucester

Salary: £27,000 per annum

Our client in Gloucester is seeking a dedicated Credit Controller to oversee their customer base and ensure timely payments while taking necessary actions to address outstanding debts.

Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with a team of 4 Credit Controllers to minimize and manage debt.
Provide exceptional customer service to clients.

· Work closely with sales representatives across different accounts.

· Promptly follow up with debtors to secure payments.

· Monitor payment patterns and identify any deviations.

· Take ownership of the debt recovery process, including documentation, query resolution, and issuing dunning letters.

· Conduct credit checks on new customers using reference agencies.

· Develop and propose strategies to reduce outstanding debt, including negotiating payment plans.

· Recommend writing off unrecoverable balances as needed.

· Assist in other tasks as required to support various business functions.

Requirements:

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

· Attention to detail, organizational abilities, and accuracy are essential.

· Proactive mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

· Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

· Polite and positive telephone manner.

· Familiarity with pre-action protocols for debt claims is advantageous.
