Job title - Credit Controller (3 - 6 Month Temporary Position)

Job type: Interim/Temporary

Day Rate: £120 to £150 a day dependent on experience

Location: City of London - Hybrid (4 days a week office-based)

The Company - EslingKenny is currently working with a leading property developer in London who has won numerous awards and is listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the key responsibilities for this individual would be to manage their own debtor’s ledger, assist in reducing debtors across business units, issuing invoices including for accrued debt and assisting with producing month-end reports.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To maximise the collection of outstanding debt and manage live accounts
  • To ensure the prompt collection of monies by telephone, e-mail and letter
  • Issuing reminder letters
  • Issuing invoices
  • Obtaining assistance from the Client Relationship Manager to collect unpaid debt
  • Reconciliation of key accounts
  • Resolving all account-related queries with the Customer Services and Account Management Team
  • To ensure compliance
  • To review financial information, credit reports, customer payment history etc. and to recommend appropriate credit limits for assigned key accounts
  • Monitor and review high risk accounts to ensure they do not breach credit terms
  • To allocate and prepare banking for cash received into the business on a daily basis
  • Performing checks on Daily/Weekly/Monthly Invoice files
  • Prepare monthly Direct Debit and Credit Card Mandate submission files
  • To prepare periodic and ad-hoc reporting for management, as requested
  • To undertake adhoc tasks or projects as directed by Senior Management

Candidate profile:

  • Strong Excel and IT skills are essential
  • At least 4+ years experience working within in a finance function
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player, willing to learn and get involved with a wide range of tasks
  • Ability to work on own initiative and generate solutions
