Our client is a leading business within financial services in Hull who are looking for an experienced credit control analyst to join their finance team. They are looking for someone whose values align with theirs from working as one team, being dependable, embracing change, and doing what is right for the business.

What the Credit Control Analyst job involves

  • Taking the lead with the Credit Control function, analysing the data of outstanding premium reports to share with the heads of departments.
  • Monitoring debt percentages to ensure they remain within acceptable thresholds.
  • Facilitating credit control meetings and leading Credit Control interactions with Clients.
  • Creating and analysing monthly Management Information (MI) reports for the Senior Leadership team to improve the content of the monthly management information pack, using MS Excel and Power BI and presenting it in the agreed format on a monthly basis. Analysing the data for anomalies and highlighting these.
  • Reconciling the payments received from clients and Brokers for the individual company accounts.
  • Providing support with issuing refunds to clients in line with financial compliance regulations.
  • Reconciling and making payments of insurer statements, analysing the data, and liaising with insurers and brokers to resolve any queries.
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with the month-end process including posting of month-end reports, making sure contra’s have been cleared, pending transactions have been posted, and unallocated cash is at a minimum.
  • Preparing and analysing reports for distribution throughout the whole business.

Skills required

  • Accountancy / Credit Control experience from within a similar role is essential
  • Strong analytical skills using MS Excel and/or Power BI
  • Solutions-focused, proactive, and able to work on your own initiative

Other information

  • This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours a week.
  • Hybrid working is available - 3 days in the office and 2 days at home after probation.
  • 24 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Death in service policy three times your salary.
