Cover Supervisor

Location: Chichester

We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic school team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing high-quality, inspirational teaching and fostering a learning environment where pupils can exceed their expectations and be fully prepared for their futures.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Uphold the school’s behaviour policy and ethos, promoting positive pupil behaviour and conduct.
  • Manage the classroom effectively, ensuring a conducive learning environment.
  • Communicate and supervise the work set by the class teacher to the pupils.
  • Follow all instructions as directed by the class/lead teacher.
  • Accompany staff on educational visits, providing support and supervision to pupils.
  • Assist with administrative tasks across various departments or as directed by the Cover Manager/Line Manager.
  • Be adaptable to perform other duties as required to support the school’s needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and students.
  • A proactive approach to encouraging confidence, resilience, and resourcefulness in students.
  • Commitment to the school’s aim of exceeding pupil expectations and preparing them for their futures.
  • Experience in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable.
