Reed Education are currently working with a fantastic co-educational school in West Sussex who are looking for an inspiring Cover Supervisor to join their team starting as soon as possible. 

The school is small and community centred and pride themselves each member knowing one another well, both staff and students. They hold high expectations and are looking for someone who supports these both inside and outside the classroom. The boast a broad and balanced curriculum which is accessible to all students in their community. 

They are driven to achieve excellence in all areas of their school and so the successful Cover Supervisor will support this by holding high standards. As a community constantly looking to improve, you will be dedicated to ongoing development and CPD on offer to you in order to support the students to the high standards. 

About you: 

  • • Experience working with students aged 11-16
  • • Flexibility to work in different subjects
  • • Confident managing behaviour
  • • An ability to build rapport with students
  • • Have a fun but firm presence
  • • An interest in education

The role: 

  • You will be leading lessons and covering in the absence of class teachers for varying subjects in school.
  • Work closely with, and will be a part of a close and dynamic team.
  • You will manage behaviour in the classroom ensuring that students are engaged and safe in their learning. 
  • Communicate with class teachers with regards to the work covered and any behaviour incidences
  • Support invidividuals as required to complete work and maintain high expectations for this

You must have right to work in the UK for this role and a DBS on the update service (we can support in gaining the DBS only)
