As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You will be responsible for supervising classes across various year groups, ensuring students engage with pre-set work and behave appropriately during lessons.
Located in Northampstonshire, we are wokring with a inclusive primary school dedicated to providing a supportive and stimulating learning environment for their students. The school are committed to nurturing each child's potential and promoting a love for learning. Due to increased demand, we are seeking a proactive and reliable Cover Supervisor to join our team on a part-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
- Deliver pre-set work and instructions to students, ensuring they understand tasks and can work independently.
- Manage classroom behaviour and implement the school's behaviour policy consistently and fairly.
- Engage and interact with students to promote a love for learning and encourage active participation.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, behaviour incidents, and completed work.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure a smooth transition for students and provide feedback on the day's activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C or above.
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with children is desirable.
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour and adapt to different learning environments.
- A proactive approach, reliability, and flexibility to cover various classes and subjects.
