In-House Paralegal
Location: Leeds

We are seeking an In-House Paralegal to join our Legal team, reporting directly to the General Counsel & Company Secretary. The role involves providing essential legal services to ensure our business meets legal and regulatory requirements, protecting our intellectual property, and managing risk effectively.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support the provision of legal services to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and protect the business’s intellectual property and assets.
  • Assist in the preparation, negotiation, and review of various contracts, including supplier, IT, and business partner agreements.
  • Help protect revenue flows by ensuring appropriate business agreements for customers and business partners, managing risk accordingly.
  • Promote legal issue awareness within the business, especially among decision-makers, to maximise opportunities and minimise risks.
  • Manage relationships with external lawyers and third-party service providers.
  • Mitigate business risks by evaluating internal processes and implementing corrective measures where necessary.
  • Identify regulatory changes and assess their impact on the business to ensure compliance obligations are met.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of a broad range of commercial law, particularly commercial contracts, company, financial services, property, and litigation.
  • Ability to deal effectively with people at all levels within the organisation.
  • Proven experience as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house setting.
  • Financial services and in-house experience are preferable.
