Gowen & Stevens is a well-established and developing Legal Firm, seeking to recruit a Conveyancing Solicitor to work in their busy Conveyancing Department in their office in Banstead, Surrey.

You will be working as part of the wider Conveyancing department and your role will focus on developing the practice within the agreed business strategy and adhering to all legal guidelines.

This role would ideally suit someone who has previously worked as a Fee Earner or within a similar role within a legal practice.

Duties will include:

  • Promoting yourself and the practice to start building a case load
  • Managing your fee income against pre-agreed performance targets
  • Drafting legal documents
  • Abiding by all professional rules of conduct
  • Keeping up to date with all relevant legislations and procedures
  • Attending meetings and networking events to promote the business

You will be working in a modern office environment within a professional legal practice. The business is looking to grow in the areas of law which they currently operate and are keen to expand the team.

Experience and skills required:

  • Proven conveyancing experience working as a Solicitor/Licensed Conveyancer
  • Experience working within a legal practice
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent IT skills

Job details:

  • Conveyancing Solicitor
  • £35,000 to £50,000 per annum depending on experience
  • Discretionary bonus for exceeding targets for billing figures per financial year
  • Benefits include 4 weeks holiday (plus bank holidays), support with professional subscriptions, auto enrolment pension scheme and professional development opportunities.
  • Full time, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:00pm
  • Banstead, Surrey
