Due to an increase in customer demand in our clients business, they are now recruiting for a Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to join their project development team - with up to 15 weeks overseas travel.

This role offers the opportunity to work for a true independent market leader and established global brand. With up to 15 weeks overseas travel (up to 6 weeks at a time) and an OTE of around £100,000 annually.

Role Description

  • Providing full project engineering services of new factories or factory overhauls - From feasibility, design, specification, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
  • Liaise with and manage interfaces with other engineering disciplines to develop full system designs
  • Prepare and manage the preparation of design deliverables including, Design Specifications, Instrument Data Sheets & Test Specifications
  • Prepare and manage the technical specification for installation of control systems including the creation of cable block diagrams, cable schedules, wiring schedules & loop drawings
  • DCS and instrumentation on site commissioning
  • Production and completion of all commissioning documentation
  • Provide technical support for C&I related equipment post installation for manufacturing sites
  • Manage the procurement of equipment along with budgets
  • Manage onsite installation and commissioning, overseeing H&S
  • Away up to 15 weeks per year- Up to 6 weeks per individual travel
  • Variety of bonuses available when working abroad through overtime and overseas expenses- Can expect to push yearly earnings close to £100k

Skills and Qualifications

  • DCS Design experience (Eurotherm)
  • Strong PLC and SCADA System experience
  • Instrumentation specification
  • Experience with Hazardous Areas and Factory acceptance testing
  • Strong experience with projects and on-site commissioning
  • Detailed C&I Design skillset
  • Degree of HND Level education
  • Camera and Vision systems experience desirable
