Randstad C&P are seeking a Contracts Manager to work in a senior management role managing projects valued up to £5m. The role will involve managing varoius projects across Wiltshire and Gloucestershire, valued at up to £5m. The schemes will vary from internal refurb to renovation of period and listed buildings.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and finalise contracts with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
  • Monitor and analyse project expenses meticulously, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints
  • Establish stringent quality control measures, conducting regular inspections to maintain high standards
  • Act as the primary liaison between clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, facilitating transparent communicationchannels
  • Evaluate proposed changes to project scope, meticulously assessing their impact on budget and schedule, and managing change orders accordingly
  • Develop comprehensive project schedules, efficiently allocating available resources
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments, proactively identifying potential issues, and implementing effective mitigation strategies

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in contract management within the construction industry, with a proven track record of overseeing contracts for high-end residential projects.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction contracts, procurement practices, and relevant legal frameworks, with the ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.

The role can pay an attractive salary of up to £68,000 plus benefits, offer a clear progressional path, and give candidates the chance to work on prestigious projects in the area.
