My client based in Staffordshire is hiring for Head of Lean which is an exciting position has become available across the company Network, including Warehouse and Transport Operations, to lead and guide on Operational Excellence principles and best practice providing management expertise, and coaching and guidance to help create a culture of Continuous Improvement.

The candidate will lead a team to implement a Lean Business System, engaging with financial / commercial areas of the Business, and collaborate cross functionally, with the Senior Leadership team and client to ensure successful implementation.

The right candidate will have experience with driving cultural change through training and development on Lean tools and Kaizen event facilitation.

As Head of Lean You will be responsible for

·Planning, facilitating, implementing, and sustaining Lean tools and culture across the business unit, with a defined Roadmap of 2 years.

·Facilitating Kaizen events and tools training to improve areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People.

·Developing leaders’ skills through coaching and mentoring; supporting training and education of operational teams and other functional teams in the application of Lean/CI tools.

·Facilitating training and developing roadmap for BU Leadership team and key stakeholders.

·Identifying cross-functional improvement opportunities to challenge the status quo and guide leadership team.

·Supporting Strategy Deployment facilitation and resulting action plans, operational KPIs, and effective root cause countermeasures.

·Leveraging data and results to develop business cases for change, measuring process improvement against targets.

·Incorporation Lean Business System culture in all business growth and execution activities.

·Engage employees to proactively utilise C.I approaches in their day to day and future ways of working.

·Lead continuous improvement projects and rapid improvement events that deliver operational improvement.

Experience required:

•Certified Black Belt, Lean Six Sigma, CI Specialist Certification, or working towards equivalent qualification (training will be supported, if necessary, to achieve this).

•Must be experienced in leading teams and working collaboratively with key stakeholders including board level, and in building effective positive working relationships.

•Experience in developing and delivering Ops Ex / CI and managing cultural change.

•Experience of working at a similar level and have knowledge of Lean and process improvement tools and techniques to black-belt level or equivalent.

•MS Office and statistical proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Minitab).

•Knowledge of Project Management tools & techniques.

•Process orientation, with a track record of implementing process improvements and controls within a supply chain environment.

•Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.

• Flexibility in terms of travelling to all sites across Staffordshire /Northwest.
