Senior Commercial Real Estate Underwriter

Hybrid from their Worthing or Brighton office (1-2 days a week in the office)

Salary: £60,000 p.a. + bonus + benefits including share options.

Experienced commercial real estate underwriter required for highly successful insurance group. You will be underwriting profitable renewals and new business on a day-to-day basis and assisting a brokers with the smooth running of existing policies.

Duties:-

  • Pro-actively managing renewals & new business quotes for a property/real estate book.
  • Underwriting residential and commercial property/real estate risks within guidelines.
  • Liaising with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Ensuring all documentations and systems are kept up to date and provided to supporting brokers in a timely manner.
  • Actively engaging with brokers to ensure the company is their first port of call on new business enquiries.
  • Ensuring SLA’s are met and timely issuance of documentation.

Full funding available for any relevant professional qualifications taken and ongoing personal development.

Requirements:-

  • You will have 3 years’ experience successfully commercial underwriting experience.
  • Ideally with experience working on a mixed property portfolio with exposure to both commercial and residential real estate/property owners’ risks.
  • A varied skill set that includes strong communication (both written and verbal), negotiation, analytical and IT skills.
  • Previous experience within an MGA or commercial insurance underwriting role desirable.
