Permanent Commercial Lawyer

Our client in Leeds is searching for a professional Commercial Lawyer to provide a customer focussed, high performing and proactive legal service for both internal and external customers.

The Role:

• Provide advice and assistance in relation to contract disputes and dispute resolution ensuring the organisation’s position is always protected and risks minimised
• Analyse situations, applying excellent legal knowledge and expertise to undertake negotiations and guide decision making
• Draft high value and high-risk commercial contract documentation
• Working closely with the Commercial partners and external agencies, advising on the commercial aspects of all procurements
• Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to provide robust legal advice, to support the implementation and delivery of major projects and schemes, funding arrangements, contracts and general commercial law and practice.

About you:

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister, holding a practising certificate or full CILEX (Fellowship) qualification with recent post-qualification experience
• Significant experience of successfully working within Commercial Legal Services
• Excellent analytical skills, initiative, and sound judgement to provide solution focussed advice
• Ability to develop positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
