Commercial Finance Analyst, Central London - PR & Communications up to £40,000
  
A brand-new opportunity for a part qualified accountant has arisen in a growing PR agency based in Soho. The right candidate will have experience in revenue accounting or WIP management and be looking to step into a client facing position in a creative environment. This would be well suited to someone studying for their ACCA/CIMA qualification and hoping to get more involved in the management accounts and commercial finance. Key Responsibilities:
  • Hold regular revenue meetings review time vs revenue add commentary on revenue movements and time variances >10%
  • Monthly recoverability meetings take minutes and send to client services teams with agreed actions.
  • Revenue posting in Workbook reconciliation of revenue trackers with actuals preparation of accrued/deferred revenue schedules
  • Utilisation reporting for the division
  • Timesheets management for accurate completion
  • WIP management and analysis to ensure that all third-party costs are billed on a time basis cost from the suppliers are on the correct jobs and that WIP jobs are reconciled and cleared down
  • Monitor and reconcile estimated vs actual costs per project flagging overspends ASAP
  • Hold regular WIP meetings with client services teams
  • Check price quotes in Workbook are correct and backup (client approvals & PO's) for jobs is saved
  • Review open PO's and advise client services teams to close where appropriate
  • Maintain client jobs on Workbook - create new jobs when requested close jobs as soon as they are finished and fully reconciled
  • Ensure debit WIP is not older than 30 days
  • Send time reports on a weekly basis to the client services teams for them to check if time is recorded on the correct jobs. Perform time movements between jobs as instructed by the client services teams
  
Key Skills & Qualifications:
  • Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA with experience in a finance function
  • Relevant degree with a grade of 2.1 or higher
  • Experience in revenue/WIP or management accounting
  • Ideally have experience in a media/marketing/PR agency
  • Proactive and solutions focussed
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skill
