Location - Hythe, Kent

Salary - £12.50 Per Hour rising to £13.21 Per Hour after probation.

Do you have previous experience with CNC machining? Can you easily read and interpret engineering drawings?

We have a great opportunity in Hythe to work for one of our clients.

Responsibilities

• To produce work of good quality by means of setter instruction, quality gauges and other aids that are made available to you
• The effective planning of part running order
• To uphold the quality of produced parts in the department
• To ensure that production rates are kept to a satisfactory level
• To be responsible for the control of drawings
• To ensure that you are working to the correct methods
• Is responsible for the quality and control of work in his / her section
• To be responsible for the control of Health & Safety in the area
• Make necessary decisions to achieve the required results within agreed timescales, policies and procedures
• To be responsible for the cleanliness of your work area
• To display good housekeeping in the area
• To attend daily tier meetings
• To carry out other duties that fall within the general scope of the post which may be required from time to time

Skills and Experience

• The ability to read engineering drawings
• A good working knowledge and understanding of CNC machines
• A good understanding of how to set the machines
• Attention to detail
• A good understanding of basic maths
• Good organisational skills
• Problem solving ability
• Good communication skills
• A flexible approach
