CNC Milling Setter/Operator

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. As a CNC setter/operator, you will be responsible for programming and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts and components. This is a full-time position based in our warehouse facility.

You must have experience with Fanuc controls and be able to operate and set a milling machine.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and write CNC programs using CAD/CAM software, such as SolidWorks
- Set up and operate CNC machines to fabricate parts according to specifications
- Select appropriate tooling and make necessary adjustments
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality and efficiency
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the production process
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes

Skills:

• Setting tool registers, compensation and conditional switches
• Setting up mills, lathes and grinders
• Reading computer-aided design (CAD) drawings
• Interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances
• Verifying settings on machines and adhering to quality standards
• Operating and maintaining lathe and milling machines
• Taking precise measurements for cutting or shaping
• Selecting appropriate machine and settings for a given task

- Familiarity with tooling selection and adjustment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of logic controllers and their functions
- Experience in welding and fabrication is a plus
- Proficiency in using hand tools for assembly and finishing work
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
