Working for this well established Corsham based business you will be responsible for:

Setting and operating a range of CNC turning centres to produce variety of high-quality parts. You will also be required to complete production related tasks as directed by the Team Leader.

Successful candidates will have the below skills and experience:
  • Used twin spindle Lathes, live tooling in the x and z axis and lathes with XYZ and C axis
  • Understanding of G and M codes to complete online edits during a set up
  • Understand wear offsets and ability to change inserts while job is in WIP
  • Have an understanding of Fanuc controls
  • Attention to detail (selecting tooling, faultless set up, Right First-Time inspection process and notice defected components during WIP)
  • Proven experience as a CNC operator/setter/programmer
  • Skilled with an understanding of operating workshop machinery, tooling and precision measuring equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and engineering drawings
  • Computer literate with an understanding of computer programming 
  • Mechanical aptitude and good mathematical skills 
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player with ability to take on individual tasks as required
  • Ability to work to deadlines and targets
Full time ongoing position with Monday to Friday working hours 8.00am-4.30pm Mon-Thurs with a 3.30pm finish on Friday
