The Cluster Sales Manager will be based in London and will be responsible for all aspects of sales across the London cluster of hotels, consisting of Branded Hotel in West London hotels, This position is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and self-driven salesperson with a proven track record of success. Reporting directly into the Cluster Director of Sales, the Cluster Sales Manager will need to be self-motivated, organized, and able to develop strong business relationships with a focus on closing business and exceeding all assigned targets.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in all aspects of sales, focusing on all revenue streams working to specific revenue targets
  • Key account management of existing clients
  • Driving and exceeding individual room night / revenue goals
  • Develop and maintain new client relationships and opportunities.
  • Establish, build and manage relationships with the key accounts to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Active in organizing assigned events (i.e. Fam trips, offsite promotions, etc.) and complete within established time frames and approved budgets.
  • Research potential new accounts, conduct telesales calls, plan appointments and carry out weekly face to face sales appointments in line with agreed targets.
  • Produce targeted sales action plans on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Research and produce account development plans based on analysis of market opportunities to ensure maximum share from each account and agency.
  • Understand and create targeted market share shift strategies.
  • Work with the entire Commercial team to continuously research competitor properties to obtain market and rate intelligence and an understanding of business trends, the competition and their key accounts. Utilize this intelligence to develop strategic plans to ensure the business remains competitive in the marketplace and to identify potential business to target.
  • Work with entire Commercial team to continuously align and devise strategies and tactics to retain and grow the business and support revenue maximization.
  • Identify and secure appropriate group, tour operator and wholesale business
  • Plan and execute sales trips to major market areas where required
  • Attend major travel functions and exhibitions to promote sales for the hotel.
  • Perform account reviews on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Maintain extensive market and product knowledge and work with each hotel in adapting products and services to match client requirements and business trends.
  • Maintain rapport and reward loyalty through entertaining top producing clients as required.
  • Work with the hotel General Managers and key hotel team members to strengthen current relationships within the local community. Represent the hotel at seminars, business events etc. to maximize networking opportunities to raise the profile/awareness of the hotel.


Candidate Preferred Skill Set:

  • Minimum 2 years in a similar sales role or relevant hospitality experience
  • Strong communication and presentational skills
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from planning to close
  • Confident, personable and proactive individual
  • Have a can-do attitude and be willing to go the extra mile
