Client Accountant

Role Overview

A role for a Client Accountant has become available in our client accounting team based in Glasgow City Centre. The position is within a team of 39. This role is to assist in the control of finances of client monies held on behalf of investors. The client accountant will be find controller of an allocated client portfolio.  

Key Responsibilities

• Periodic accurate reporting to clients
• Ownership of transfer of rent monies to client & payment of client property related transactions
• Service Charge Reconciliation process, liaising with asset manager and auditor. Carry out annual property service charge cash and balance sheet reconciliation
• Ownership of transition in and out of client portfolios, including clearing down of P&L and balance sheet
• Ownership and management of your KPI measured performance tasks

Key Skills

• Self-motivated, hardworking and excellent time management
• A strong team player with the ability to meet deadlines, good excel skills advantageous
• Individual will be enthusiastic and willing to learn
• Part Qualified AAT/ACCA or qualified by experience
• Experience working to general ledger, P&L and balance sheet

Team Overview

The Glasgow Client Accounting team currently has 39 team members, these include Client Accounting, Credit control and Accounts payable. The structure of the team includes, Head of Region, Directors, Associate Directors, Team leaders, Senior Client Accountants, Client Accountants and Assistance Client Accountants. We work closely with our regional colleagues across the other UK accounting offices.
