Claims Associate

This opportunity is for a leading P&I club in the UK and the candidate must come from either a P&I club, ship owner, law firm, insurer.

The role sits within the businesses Cruise/Ferry Department so experience in this line of work in preferable.

Location: London (Hybrid) Salary: Competitive with Benefits

About The Business: They are a leading P&I club in the UK, specialising in maritime law and insurance. Our Cruise/Ferry department focuses on personal injury claims within the maritime industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage personal injury claims within the Cruise/Ferry department.
  • Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and liaise with relevant parties.
  • Assess claims for validity, negotiate settlements, and manage case documentation.
  • Support & provide guidance to junior members of staff and claims executives.

Requirements:

  • LLM/LLB in Maritime Law preferred but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of maritime industry regulations and practices.
  • Previous experience in a P&I club, law firm, marine insurer, or ship owner's legal department.
  • Dealt with personal injury claims.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
