Civil Engineering Project Manager - Water Projects

Excellent opportunity for a Project Manager from a Tier 1 contractor in the Water sector looking to move into a Consultancy environment.

Location: Thetford

Salary: £75,000 - £80,000 basic + Package

Role Description

The Resolute Group has been retained to source and secure a Project Manager with experience in delivering projects within the Water sector (Clean or Waste) but from larger non-infrastructure based programmes. Projects such as Pumping stations, Waster Water treatment plants, or the more complex projects undertaken in the AMP period.

Transferring your skills from the Tier 1 on-site delivering the schemes into working for the consultancy managing the master programme. Looking for your expertise in assessing the build-ability of a scheme and the risks that go with it. Acting on behalf of the client to act as the technical assurance for the build, identifying potential risk and mitigating it before additional costs and actions are taken.

You need rounded skills as a project manager understanding Operations, Technical and Commercial as a rounded project manager, ideally chartered. Flexibility is also key as the projects will vary as the clients change but focused around the Midlands, Home Counties, East Anglian and London.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop into a consultant and move away from hands-on delivery, focused on supporting the client and managing the contractors on site. Ensuring projects are delivered on time, to budget and as agreed by the initial requirements of the client.

Required Experience

• Degree - Ideally Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) supported by Chartered status (Ideally)
• Water experience - proven experience of delivering a larger more complex scheme (Not Pipelaying)
• Full driving licence and flexible to travel as required.
