We have fantastic opportunities for hard-working and dedicated Waking Night Support Workers to join the team at a small residential home for young people with
Emotional Behaviour Disorder, Challenging Behaviours and Mental Health. Our client, based in the Dorset/Hampshire area, creates a welcoming and encouraging environment where young people can flourish academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.We have full-time, permanent roles for waking nights for 40 hours per week. Shifts are 2200-0800 working on a 4 on/4 off rota basis. Salary is £22,050-£24,300 depending on experience and if you hold a diploma in children's health and social care. Your new role
As a Children's Support Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the health and safety of young people is maintained
  • Promoting and encouraging independence
  • Ensure that the needs of the young people are met at all time
  • Actively promote and develop learning whilst participating in activities within and outside the service

Working as part of a team and creating a positive, safe and fun atmosphereWhat you'll need to succeed

  • Be a calm, compassionate and caring individual with a genuine passion for caring for others.
  • Full UK right to work - no sponsorship
  • Understanding of Emotional Behaviour Disorder and Challenging Behaviours advantageous
  • Be flexible and reliable
  • Level 3 NVQ desirable
  • Recent experience working with young people is advantageous. However, full training will be provided.
  • You must have a full UK driving licence and own transport
  • Due to the requirements, you must be 21 or older
