Job Description:
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Psychology / Sociology / Public Health Graduates from Anglia Ruskin University to join our team as Children Support Worker in primary and special needs schools. As a Children Support Worker, you will work closely with teachers and other staff members to support the academic, social, and emotional development of students.

Type: Full Time (Term-Time only) (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM)

Salary: £13/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with special needs, including but not limited to autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, dyslexia, and behavioral challenges.
  • Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to create and adapt instructional materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development workshops, and other school-related activities.

Requirements:

  • Right To Work in the UK (NO Sponsorship Provided)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology / Sociology / Public Health from Anglia Ruskin University or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children or individuals with special needs is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and training as required by the school and regulatory authorities.
  • International Students are required to provide Overseas Police Check.
