NRS Contact Centre (NRSCC) is a child contact centre based in Lewisham South East London. We are looking to recruit a full time child contact supervisor on a 6 month rolling contract to join our team.

NRSCC provides services to local vulnerable children and their families, you would need to be able to support and safeguard the children who attend the centre.  We support children who are currently in the care system to enable them to see their families and remain in contact with them whilst ensuring that they are adequately safeguarded.  We also support families who are in private law proceedings and offer a range of services from supervised contact in our centre to community based contact away from the centre.

Due to the nature of the work we undertake, you will be required to work 5 days out of 6, 37.5 hours per week with some days commencing at 9 or 9.30am some days finishing at 5.30 or 6.00pm therefore, some flexibility would be required with start and finishing times.

The successful applicant will need to have experience of working with children and birth parents, this could be in a school, nursery or other type of social care setting.  As you will be compiling reports and observations during the contact sessions you will need to possess good communication skills both verbal and written along with good ICT skills and the ability to meet time deadlines. Knowledge of safeguarding is desired although full training will be provided.
