My client, a pharmaceutical business with huge growth plans, is recruiting a Chief Operating Officer to play a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. This executive leadership position requires strong operational expertise, business acumen, and the ability to drive efficiency, quality, and growth across all functional areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize business performance, streamline processes, and enhance productivity.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to align operational goals with the company's overall strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the manufacturing, supply chain, quality control, and regulatory compliance functions to ensure the timely and cost-effective production of pharmaceutical products.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, quality assurance programs, and operational excellence.
  • Manage relationships with key vendors, suppliers, and contract manufacturing organizations to ensure reliable and high-quality product supply.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational efficiency, identify areas for improvement, and drive decision-making.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational risks and ensure business continuity.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute business development strategies, including mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree (MBA, PhD) preferred.
  • Proven experience in senior operational roles within the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong track record of driving operational excellence and business growth.
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in developing and implementing operational strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions to optimize operational performance.
