Rayment Recruitment are looking for a Chef De Partie/ junior sous to join a busy wedding venue and brassiere in the Chelmsford area, using the best of British produce to create a fusion of great tastes and innovative culinary delights, whatever the occasion.

The Company:

This wedding venue is surrounded by Essex countryside on the outskirts of Chelmsford. Essex. The venue combines the romance and charm and is a Grade II listed house with all the comforts of contemporary living. This Essex venue extends this philosophy to its food, offering a modern, award-winning brasserie open every day and an impressive traditional afternoon tea served in their elegant lounges in the main house.

The Role:

This role would suit an experienced Chef De Partie with extensive knowledge of working with fresh food and who holds a NVQ level 1 and 2 qualifications or equivalent.

As a Chef De Partie you must be enthusiastic and motivated, you will be supervising and mentoring trainees, therefore experience of coaching/mentoring in a kitchen environment would be desirable but not essential.

Within this role you will be working to agreed budgets and meeting targets whilst preparing and producing the highest quality food at all times.

The successful candidate will have experience working in a quality hotel or restaurant, have COSHH knowledge and experience organising, prioritising and managing a section.

You will be working closely with the food and beverage team to enhance product knowledge and customer experience.

Salary Up to £ 28K plus tips

Hours - 45 hour working week

  • Is friendly, welcoming and approachable
  • Has relative experience in a similar fresh food establishment
  • Has an ability to supervise a small team
  • Has a strong passion for food and enjoys creating imaginative dishes
  • Takes pride in their work, serving food to the highest of standards with well thought out presentation
  • Has a flexible, calm attitude to working and puts the needs of the business before their own
