Urban Mutts Hotel & Dog Club is a state-of-the-art facility based within Westfield London, Shepherds Bush W12, that offers Grooming, Daycare and Boarding.

We are looking for a reliable, friendly and avid dog-loving Dog Carer to join our growing team of dog professionals. Ideally we are wanting a person who can Drive our dogs from their homes to us and then back home again (The 'Chauffur') and be a Daycare Assistant within our Dog Club. We would consider a person who just wants to do the Driving part.

The job would include:

If applying for the Customer 'Chauffur' position:

(Morning pick-ups and early evening returns to their homes)

  • Collecting and returning regular Urban Mutts dogs from their homes for transport to/from Urban Mutts in Shepherds Bush morning and early evening in our custom-built van.
    • Keep the van clean and report any mechanical/wear and tear issues.
    • Complete daily vehicle/dog checklists.

If applying for the full-day Customer 'Chauffur' with Daycare position:

(Morning pick-ups and early evening returns to their homes with Daycare Assistant in our social club)

The above plus:

  • Engaging positively with the dogs, supervising and providing mental and physical stimulation for the dogs through walks, playing games and allowing them to socialise.
  • Understanding and monitoring the behaviours of all the dogs in the facility. Ensuring that all dogs within the facility are happy and well looked after.
  • Liaising with other staff members, leaders and managers to ensure communication is clear and all aspects of the dogs, and the day are understood by all staff.
  • Aiding in the cleaning and maintenance of the indoor facility, social club, outdoor terrace, hotel and equipment
  • Walking up to 4 dogs per walk.
  • Communicate throughout the day with other Team members & Managers with regards to timings of pick ups drop offs and walks.

The ideal candidate should:

  • Present themselves well and have good, clear communication skills
  • Be happy and comfortable around dogs, have good knowledge of breeds and can confidently engage with them
  • Be reliable, have good time-keeping skills and be available to work weekends
  • Be able to work well team, is able to multitask and work proactively
  • Have previous experience and qualifications in the dog care industry
  • Carry themselves positively, and have a problem-solving attitude
  • Have Animal Management qualifications and experience working with Dogs

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time (or Part-time considered for the 'Chauffur')

Salary: £10.00-£12.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Customer service experience within hospitality, retail or other similar fields
  • Professional Dog Care: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Level 2 Award in Canine Care, Behaviour and Welfare (preferred)
  • Level 3 Award in Canine Care, Behaviour and Welfare (preferred)
  • UK Driver's License with good record (required for 'Chauffur')
