The Chartered Fire Engineer's Role

In Peterborough, the Chartered Fire Engineer will work under the guidance of the Head of Fire Engineering. This dynamic role involves leading diverse projects, showcasing strong leadership qualities, mentoring junior engineers, and managing teams efficiently. The Chartered Fire Engineer will maintain an up-to-date understanding of fire compliance regulations and industry standards, ensuring the consultancy's continued leadership in fire safety engineering.

The Chartered Fire Engineer

  • Boasts at least 4 years' proven experience in Fire Engineering, marked by significant achievements and a high level of expertise.
  • Is either a Chartered Engineer in fire or is actively working towards attaining chartered status, reflecting a commitment to professional development.
  • Holds a degree in Fire Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field, essential for developing strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Exhibits strong leadership abilities, including team management experience, demonstrating the capacity to inspire and develop talent within the consultancy.
  • Proficient in FREAW's (Pas 9980), and has a robust track record of leading client-facing meetings and managing projects effectively.
  • Has extensive experience across the Residential, Healthcare, and Commercial sectors, offering deep insights and the ability to handle sector-specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Demonstrates entrepreneurial flair, evident in business development activities, strategic relationship building, and a proactive approach to fostering growth and innovation within the consultancy.
