Catastrophic Injury Solicitor
An outstanding opportunity for a Catastrophic Injury Solicitor has become available with this leading L200 firm.
The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to work with the leading Partner, to manage a caseload of complex injury claims consisting of claims typically valued up to £10m but including claims valued significantly higher involving injuries of the utmost severity. Experience of indemnity, liability and complex medical issues is preferred and excellent attention to detail essential.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with recognised market leaders in catastrophic injury work within a leading Complex Injury Claims Team dealing with non-delegated high value multi track and catastrophic injury claims including assisting on multi-million pound brain injury, spinal injury, amputation and fatal claims.

Part time hours or flexible working arrangements will be considered.
Experience required:
- Qualified solicitor, CILEX or proven relevant legal experience is essential
- Significant experience in handling or assisting upon large loss or catastrophic injury files is required; the successful candidate will be expected to be capable of either handling a case load of catastrophic injury cases with supervision or being able to assist at a high level on catastrophic injury cases
- Defendant experience is preferable but Claimant experience at a sufficient level of expertise and seniority will be considered
- Understanding of case law and litigation practice and process, and Court Practice Rules as relevant to high value claims
- Strong knowledge of relevant insurance principles
- Understanding and experience in advising upon contested interim payment applications is preferred
- Understanding of relevant considerations in relation to statutory funding for care packages is preferred
