Position: Calibration Engineer

Location: Telford TF7 4QL, United Kingdom (Onsite)

Job Type: Permanent Full Time

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Work is performed at the Telford Service Centre.?
  • Performing routine tasks, using prescribed procedures and technical duties that may require use of judgment.
  • Solving a broad range of technical problems of varying scope and complexity.
  • Understand customers’ requirements through face to face and written communication.
  • Travel to customer sites <25% performing calibrations (On-site).

Job Description:

  • Tests, calibrates/validates and repairs electrical / electronic, mechanical / dimensional, or analytical test instruments, products and modules to maintain functionality and accuracy.
  • Service is performed on client products and/or products manufactured by another company.
  • Work is typically performed at a client site but occasionally is performed at a customer location.?
  • Performs routine tasks, using prescribed procedures and technical duties that may require use of judgment.
  • Solves a broad range of technical problems of varying scope and complexity.
  • Solves test and calibration problems which require deep technical knowledge

Job Qualifications:

  • Education and technical knowledge within sector and role
  • Certifications as an electronic/electrical technician with relevant experience in calibration
  • IT knowledge (Windows, Office)
  • Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
  • Confident at answering customer questions
  • Ability to recognize and anticipate problems and search proactively for solutions
  • Ability to work independently and proactive attitude
  • Able to obtain UK security clearance
