We are looking for an experienced CAD Design Engineer to join a well-established and cutting-edge technology development company based in Northamptonshire. The client is a light engineering company designing and manufacturing electro-mechanical systems, for air conditioning, fans, fluid heating-colling, specialist air filtration systems and climate control systems. They have worked within the Automotive industry since 1911 and have continued to grow ever since! 
  
The CAD Engineer will have mix of Mechanical & Electrical skills and focus on design, prototype, testing/installation of bespoke HVAC systems for vehicles.
There would be plenty of varied work and the opportunity to grow within the business!
  
CAD Engineer`s Requirements:
  • Experience in Mechanical design, prototype, testing of HVAC components and systems (refrigeration loops will be an advantage) including design for manufacturing and maintenance.
  • Experience using a 3D CAD program (preferably Solid Edge but training will be given where necessary).
  • Understanding of vehicle electrical architecture and systems would be very desirable.
  • Knowledge of air filtration and air movement would be an advantage.
  • Experience in working with tolerancing and dimensioning drawings, understanding the practical limitations of sheet metal fabrication and machining manufacturing methods.
  • Understanding of configuration control and working to design office procedures, appreciation of quality requirements.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, ability to work as a part of a team and independently
Salary: £30K -£40K (Depending on experience)
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:45 & Friday - 08:00 to 12:00
