Business Development Coordinator

  • Location: Crawley, West Sussex
  • Salary: £26-28k

Are you a Business Development Coordinator looking to join a team with a pivotal role in the expansion of their sales team? The ideal candidate will have a proven sales track record and a solid understanding of the construction procurement processes including tender submissions. This role is perfect for someone who is tenacious, inquisitive, and has a passion for building brand reputation and market share.

Day to day duties: 
  • Track opportunities and projects using industry portals.
  • Log and schedule enquiries on the tender log.
  • Identify new and future opportunities to enhance business growth.
  • Develop relationships with new clients to receive enquiries and be placed on tender lists.
  • Assist with the management of marketing activities and social media presence.
  • Contribute to the content and updates of the company website.
  • Log and track enquiries to submission in coordination with the estimating team.
  • Stay informed about industry developments and projects.
  • Aim to achieve placement of the company on major client tender databases.
  • Work in line with the company’s management system, policies, and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven sales track record, preferably in the construction sector.
  • Understanding of construction procurement processes.
  • Confident and positive telephone manner.
  • Good IT knowledge, including proficiency in relevant software.
  • Marketing knowledge with experience in managing social media and online content.
  • Inquisitive and tenacious approach to business development.
  • Solid understanding of branding principles.
  • Some construction industry-related experience is highly desirable.
