The Markets Business Disruption team works with stakeholders across the firm to manage the operational risk arising from disruption to our core Markets activities. The team covers areas such as Operational Resilience, Continuity of Business and Crisis Management.

What you will do:
The Business Disruption Risk - Business Execution Lead (Global Alignment) will embed implementation of the new Business Disruption & Safety risk (BDSR) framework in Markets including the path to green remediation. The role will drive consistency in approach for the Operational Resilience regulatory rollouts globally, including methodology, tools (mapping) and remediation. Ongoing responsibility for third-party business disruption, continuity of business and safety & security risk for Markets and responsibility for the Global Crisis Management framework (interim only).
  • Embed implementation of the new Business Disruption & Safety risk (BDSR) framework in Markets including the path to green remediation
  • Drive consistency in approach for Operational Resilience rollout globally including methodology, alignment to Global Business Services, tools (mapping) and remediation
  • Deliver Markets requirements in relation to firm-wide third-party disruption programmes
  • Responsibility for third-party business disruption, continuity of business and safety & security risk for Markets
  • Develop existing global crisis management approach (interim)
  • Operationalize reporting of Key Risk Indicators for Business Disruption
What we need from you:
  • Significant experience as a recognized subject matter expert within Operational Resilience and Business Continuity required, with strong commercial awareness
  • Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally (and sometimes externally), often at a senior level
  • Expertise providing advanced judgment and conducting in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis to solve problems and develop new, innovative solutions
  • Proven ability to think beyond existing solutions, assumptions or current knowledge of sophisticated areas
  • Experience having a significant impact on a function and/or the business by making decisions that determine technical approaches & strategies for the area
