Business Development Manager - Sponsorship

Fluent German or Polish highly advantageous

£35,000 - £45,000 + (Uncapped Commission) + Excellent Benefits

Globally renowned media events business seeks a talented sales person to join their high performing event sales team.

This role will focus on selling high value, bespoke sponsorship packages to global clients in the tech and telecoms space.

Due to the company’s rapid expansion into new regions, fluency in either German or Polish would be highly advantageous.

The Sponsorship Sales Manager will act as the first point of call for the clients they manage as well as delivering new business. You will be selling a mix of bespoke sponsorship packages and digital solutions to an international audience.

This role demands a highly articulate, proven sales person who enjoys building relationships and has real hunger to close high value yielding sales.

The Role

  • Grow relationships with key accounts by planning and tailoring their marketing activities using a consultative approach with the intention of growing YOY spend
  • Generating new business, increasing pipeline and bringing on new prospects
  • Sell high-value sponsorship and digital packages
  • Pitch clients over the phone and through face to face meetings
  • Attend competitor events - Travel to the US, Asia and Middle East Act as a market specialist and make sure you have the knowledge to do so via internal and external resources
  • Consultative selling is a key part of this role, the right candidate should be able to sell creatively, through solution led selling

Business Development Manager: Profile of Candidate

  • 2 years + experience in b2b (recruitment, IT sales, events etc)
  • Ideally fluency in German or Polish
  • Strong account management capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Successful track record achieving revenue targets
  • Someone with a consultative sales approach is a necessity here
