Are you an experienced Business Development Manager looking to take your career to the next level? Our client, a leading logistics organisation, is seeking a talented individual to join their team as a Business Development Manager in Slough!

As the Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and developing new business opportunities. Your main responsibilities include promoting our client's services to both new and existing clients, building and maintaining long-term business relationships, and ensuring that all customers are fully aware of the range of services offered.

What will you be doing?

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with a portfolio of international clients
  • Meeting clients face to face to build relationships and secure new business
  • Providing accurate quotations and solutions based on customer requirements
  • Following up on quotes, securing bookings, and providing excellent customer service throughout the process
  • Supporting the export and import processes and covering for the export and import teams when needed
  • Maintaining accurate records of all customs-related documents and transactions
  • Communicating effectively with customers and suppliers regarding customs requirements and procedures
  • Assisting with other tasks and responsibilities as required

What do you need to succeed?

  • Previous sales experience, ideally within the Freight Forwarding industry
  • A self-motivated and can-do attitude with a proven track record in bringing in new business
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience using Freight Management Systems (training will be provided)
  • Knowledge of sea freight is an advantage
