One of the top global law firms requires a Business Development specialist who will be tasked with providing business development, pitching and client development support to the firm’s EMEA Energy, Infrastructure, Project & Asset Finance partners to enhance the image and reputation of the practice.

The role holder will provide support on all aspects of business development and marketing activities and implement a range of initiatives. From a business development perspective, you will support the partners on building the appropriate pipeline of opportunities within EMEA EIPAF and will be responsible for managing and driving the preparation of pitches, proposals, capability statements and other client presentations, ensuring the team delivers these pitches to the highest of standards and to deadline. You will help drive the implementation of client plans and related business development initiatives and help develop new client relationships, sharing information and generally raising the practices profile across EMEA. From a marketing perspective, the Business Development Manager will liaise with the central marketing team in London and with international marketing colleagues, to contribute to local and global BD and communications initiatives. You will be tasked with implementing best practice and leading the preparation and submission of directory and award submissions; ensuring the practice’s Business Development materials are up to date; and helping to organise profile raising activities including, seminars, conferences, events and thought leadership.

Robust and self-motivated, you will be a bright graduate or equivalent with the ability to build trust and respect among colleagues. A team player with a can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills, it is essential that the Business Development Manager has relevant manager level experience in business development, gained whilst working in a global law firm, professional services environment or financial institution. The ideal candidate will also have good knowledge of the relevant practice, sectors and products and outstanding bid management and delivery skills.
