A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our clients circle. They are looking for an outgoing, organised and enthusiastic person to work as a Business Development Executive, in a dynamic, evolving company, who are driven to make a real impact on humanity and the planet.

The role

Alongside the Solutions team, be responsible for all sales activity resulting in the achievement of company targets, to ensure the company aligns with its year-on-year business growth plans.

The responsibilities (there are more!)

  • Handle incoming sales enquiries across our services and effectively take prospect customers through the related sales cycle.
  • Identify leads and opportunities to cross sell to existing customers, maintaining a sales pipeline aligning with sales targets.
  • Support with the success of marketing and sales campaigns, participating in the delivery of webinars and podcasts, with a focus on consultancy and business for good.
  • Following relevant processes, keeping systems up to date and communicating with the wider team to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new customers.
  • Undertake market research and cold call as required in order to create interest in products and services.

The Person

  • You will be proficient with Microsoft Office, including excel and word, and have a highly organised approach to working.
  • You will show strong communication skills and have the ability to prioritise, multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • At the very least you need to be proactive, outgoing and confident speaking with customers both on the phone and over email with a focus on customer service.
  • The role is fast paced, so you should be prepared to think on your feet and be able to absorb new information quickly and effectively.
  • To thrive in this role, you will be passionate and excited to work for a business for good.
  • You must have a strong work ethic and feel comfortable working well under pressure.
  • You will have a 'muck in’ approach to teamwork, being flexible and highly resilient to change, being committed to growing with the business.

If you have any background in sustainability and environmental services, experience in a similar related role, have worked in B2B sales or have a proven sales track record then even better! A wicked sense of humour is a bonus too

  • Salary £25,000-£27,500 p/a (dependant on experience) plus performance related bonus with opportunity to earn up to 40% of annual salary in line with the existing reward framework (Bonus - after 6 months probation)
