Role Summary

The Business Development Director's (BDD) key purpose is to grow the UKSS client base by winning Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) of newly listing companies and share register transfers from competitor registrars. The BDD will build effective relationships with the advisor community (investment banks, law firms, stock exchanges) to be a positive public advocate of EQ. Leading a small team of new business, bid management and marketing professionals the BDD will define and deliver the best strategies for success, build a strong pipeline, manage the leads and secure new clients.

Core Duties/Responsibilities

The core duties and responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Business Development team to develop and implement effective sales strategies
  • Building and maintaining productive relationships with the advisor community
  • Identifying senior decision makers and accelerating the buying process by facilitating conversations at the correct level
  • Crafting compelling proposals for IPO and share register transfer opportunities
  • Strong pipeline management: identifying new opportunities and proactively generating new business leads
  • Personally owning and progressing key opportunities
  • Using insight gained to influence the development of new products and services
  • Building strong internal stakeholder relationships, encouraging collaboration and teamwork
  • Maintaining insight of EQ product, service and operational developments
  • Effective and continuous use of Salesforce to manage sales processes
  • Ensuring quality and innovation of bid management processes and output
  • Ensuring quality, relevance, innovation and regularity of UKSS client marketing communications

  • Persuasive and compelling communication skills
  • Relevant industry experience of share registration (preferred but not essential)
