Building Estates Maintenance Manager - NHS - Birmingham - c£50k - Temp to Perm

37.5 hour working week. Temp to Perm

For this role predominantly based in Birmingham, you will be responsible for managing a 15 strong team of carpenters, decorators and building fabric Estates staff that carry out PPM and reactive maintenance across two main hospital sites in Birmingham and Selly Oak.

You will also be responsible for Lifecycle, small works and restoration works across the estate which in some places, is Grade II listed and includes pitched roofs, spires and Welsh slate. You will oversee the tender process for works and review and interrogate responses in a thorough and professional capacity.

You will take control of the PPM's, while managing the reactive works, identifying areas of improvement including any efficiencies that can be made. You will help to identify small works and develop a lifecycle plan including specialist works like roofing, listed brickwork and windows.

You will be confident dealing with Hospital stakeholders and staff, up to director level when dealing with important works that require shutdowns etc.

Preferably, you'll have an HNC in a Building related discipline and have a strong building and Estates Management background.
