Brokerage Officer
Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Brokerage Officer for a Local Authority Client based in East London.
In this role, you will work closely with Service Managers, Senior Practitioners, and Care Managers to source, arrange, and amend packages of care, placements in residential and nursing homes, and supported living services.
About the role:
You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:
- Facilitate placement brokerage within adult services contexts such as older people, learning disabilities, and mental health services.
- Source services for individuals without recourse to public funds as required.
- Collaborate with various teams including Information and Assessment, Care Management, Hospital Discharge, and Finance Teams.
- Contribute to commissioning and developing new services, identifying gaps and potential providers.
About you:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Previous experience working within health or social care setting.
- Experience in sourcing and arranging placements in residential settings, nursing homes, or supported living services.
- Understanding of financial management processes and experience in identifying savings, negotiating with providers, and achieving value for money in services.
- Experience in using effective IT monitoring systems such as Mosaic and CM2000.
What's on offer
Salary: £21+per hour
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday - Friday, 36 hours per week
