Bridge Manager - North Manchester

We are specifically working with a 'Good' secondary school in North Manchester, to join them managing their Bridge, on an ongoing basis, likely to be for the full academic year on a full-time basis.

A dynamic, proactive and caring person is required to be responsible for the day to day management of The Bridge and to ensure the provision provided meets all students' needs. To support, mentor and work alongside students who need to be reintegrated back into mainstream provision. You will have to help the students self-regulate, complete their work, and reflect on their approach to learning. The successful candidate will work alongside a group of students from 11-16 years old, monitoring and tracking their progress and help them successfully reintegrate into the main learning environment.

An appropriate candidate would have good English and literacy skills, good ICT skills and be able to communicate effectively with parents, staff and external services working to support the students to be successful.

This is a brilliant chance to get involved in a school that puts the students first with a warm, happy, and safe environment. The staff and students have a sense of pride in their diverse culture and celebrate this with a culture day, which focuses on the different backgrounds that make their community better. The students take on extra responsibility demonstrating their maturity. The school also has a strong community spirit with a 'community fridge', which connects them with the wider area. The leaders of the school constantly raise their expectations of students which has created an improvement across the school.
