Billing Assistant - Temporary position - Newbury - c17-19ph
Hybrid working - 3-4 days per week in the office, 1-2 days at home (once fully trained)

This is a temporary position covering the service billing role within the existing finance team and is expected to last at least 6 months.

You will be trained on all aspects of the Project Services invoicing and credits to a point of being able to fully cover all activities including weekly billing, chasing payment of license renewals and financial reporting, while the current incumbent is absent on planned sick leave. In addition, there will be ad hoc cover required in the credit control team. This role will report into the Credit Controller and be part of the overall finance team.

Day to Day Responsibilities

· Services/Project Invoicing

o Invoicing and credits to be raised

o Internal project and customer queries

o Daily chasing of Licence Renewals and weekly reporting of renewals falling due

o Ad hoc invoicing including commission invoicing and third-party suppliers

o Build good inter-departmental relationships with the Project Office and Project Managers

Experience and knowledge required:-

· Hands-on customer Services Billing
· Understanding of timesheet processes
· Microsoft Excel
· Credit Control / Cash Collection experience would be advantageous

Personal Attributes - what we are looking for

Attention to detail is critical with this role. As well as being good with numbers, you should be methodical with strong organisational skills to juggle and prioritise your primary responsibility of customer invoicing.

We are looking for a keen, motivated individual who will be hands-on and capable of getting into the detail but also with a flare for being a team player and someone who will be comfortable and confident dealing with all levels of employees, from Directors, Project Managers, Account Managers and customers. You will need to be able to stand firm, have an enquiring mind and be able to express yourself clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing. And a prerequisite, you should be very personable with a great sense of humour!

Hours 9am-5.30pm with an hour lunch break
Immediate start
Length of assignment - 6mths approx.
