This Bid Manager role is to join a leading PFI Infrastructure Investor, Developer and Operator that is looking to growing their business development team. They have a healthy pipe-line of work relating to large, long-term projects and partnerships. This integral bid development role will support a successful bid team, managing complex PFI transactions from inception to financial close.

Key Reponsibilities:

  • Manage transactions from initial stages to financial close (each transaction carrying a value of a minimum of £150m).
  • Support the Bid/Transaction team in developing and implementing winning bid strategies; support and challenge these dynamic strategies across the 6-18-month life of the transaction.
  • Lead weekly project team meetings, track progress, and draft reports for the leadership team.
  • Join discipline-specific team meetings to support progress and to build on your own subject matter understanding and development.
  • Play a key role, alongside the Submissions Manager, in ensuring the delivery of high-quality proposals, that will lead to a successful outcome.
  • Coordinate the technical, commercial, and financial aspects of awarded projects, ensuring the scheme is developed in sufficient detail for financial close.
  • Utilise data tools (such as SharePoint and client data rooms) for information tracking and sharing.

Experiences and Skills:

  • Proven project management skills.
  • Bidding or project development experience in PFI/PPP or the built environment.
  • Negotiation and contract expertise (project finance, property development).
  • Manage complex projects under tight deadlines.
  • Produce and review technical documents with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Draft clear and concise narratives for diverse stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels and disciplines.
