BI Test Team Lead – 12mth FTC -c65-75k +Benefits – Hybrid working

My client are a leading Global Specialist Insurance company working within the Lloyds Syndicate in London. Due to continued and exciting growth we have a number of positions we are recruiting to further improve and streamline the business.

One urgent position we are looking to fill is that of a BI Test Team Lead on an initial 12 month Fixed Term Contract. As the BI Test Team Lead you will be leading an offshore team of 5 BI Testers and working within a Kanban environment.

The BI Test Team Lead works alongside the Data Warehouse Product Owner, Technical Leads and Scrum Masters (where applicable) to ensure provision of data & analytical solutions to the business.

The BI Test Team Lead has overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the testing output that the team has committed to support the stakeholders within the business.

The BI Test Team Lead is responsible for assisting the team to deliver value, achieved by understanding the customer needs ensuring that the test cases are robust and meet the needs of the solution. The Test Team Lead has responsibility for manging the team supporting creation of test cases and where necessary automation and will have a mindset of delivering to promises whilst balancing the needs of the team.

On a daily basis the BI Test Team Lead will be responsible for:

• Managing the offshore team to ensure all requirements are covered and relevant tests completed.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders to ensure testing schedules are created and adhered to.
• Guide the team in enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity.
• Prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure and risks on the project or closure of escalations.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in BI Testing and data quality assurance.
• Work with stakeholders to identify and resolve test issues.
• Review and improve BI test processes and policies to streamline and futureproof.
• Ensure that BI processes are following the quality standards.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced BI Test Team Lead who has worked in Data rich environments and has experience managing a team of BI Testers ideally (though not crucially) offshore. Any experience working within the Insurance or FSA arena would be beneficial.
