Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for a Band Saw Operator / Production Operative to join their busy client in Welham Green. This is a temp2perm role working Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.00 pm & Friday 7.30 am – 3.00 pm.

Pay Rate: £11.60 per hour

Responsible for

  • Setting up and operating various sawing equipment, including band saws, chop saws and pilot saws.
  • Properly and safely load and unload raw materials.
  • Cutting aluminium extrusions to bespoke lengths.
  • Use gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
  • The safe and efficient operation, as well as routine maintenance on a modern, high-capacity bar saw.
  • Requires a basic knowledge of production equipment along with the ability to maximise yield.
  • Strong attention to detail as each employee is responsible for the quality of the product they produce.
  • Commit yourself to be able to multi-task in fast paced, deadline driven environment.

The successful candidate will have / be:

  • previous experience using a band saw / bar saw
  • previous experience using a Behringer saw machine
  • previous experience using de-burring tools (preferred but not essential
  • able to work  and adapt in a fast paced environment 
  • local to Welham Green or able to commute
  • looking for a permanent role 
  • previous experience using a counterbalance forklift is preferred but not essential
  • fluent English speaking, reading and writing
