About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Azure Manager to join our Next Generation Managed Services (NGMS) department.

The Azure NGMS Team is a key part of Nasstar’s delivery of Cloud services to customers. Nasstar is providing customers with the expertise they need for their digital transformation projects and transition to cloud native solutions. As the leader of this team, you will be responsible for providing technical direction around Azure Platform, working with managers of other NGMS teams to give input into the direction of Nasstar’s Next Generation Managed Services framework.

This is an opportunity to help shape the Azure Capability, working across the business. You will be responsible for supporting, optimising, and maintaining our customers’ Azure-based systems in line with Microsoft’s Well-Architected Framework (WAF) principles. The teams’ disciplines encompass DevOps, SecOps, SysOps and FinOps. You will also be performing all people management activities, including hiring as we expand the Azure Capability. You will help the team succeed by providing inspiration, clearing blocks, and acting as a mentor.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational management of customer Azure estates
  • Line management of the Azure NGMS team
  • Involvement in the CSI cycle between Managed Services and Professional Services
  • Engagement with the Commercial teams, to support customer engagements

What we are looking for:

Education & Qualifications:

  • ITIL qualification or relevant experience working in a managed services organisation using ITIL practices.
  • AZ-104 Microsoft Azure Administrator qualification.
  • Any other Microsoft Azure (AZ-nnn) qualifications, highly desirable.
  • Well-versed in the principals of the Azure well-architected framework (WAF) to promote standardisation and efficiencies across customer Azure estates to maximise value realisation.

Experience:

  • Prior experience managing an Azure technical team.
  • Time spent working in a technical consultancy or managed services role, designing, or supporting cloud computing systems.
  • In-depth experience working in the IT industry.
