Working for a global software company we are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join on a 6 month contract.

This is a remote based role with ad-hoc travel once or twice a month to their offices in either Midlands or West Yorkshire.

The main purpose of the role will be to design, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure services.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and deploy Azure-based applications and infrastructure
  2. Implement and manage Azure services like Virtual Machines, App Services, Functions, AKS, SQL Database, Storage, and Networking
  3. Automate deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep
  4. Configure Azure monitoring, logging, and security solutions
  5. Translate business requirements into scalable and secure Azure solutions
  6. Optimize and troubleshoot existing Azure deployments
  7. Provide guidance on Azure best practices.

Skills and experience:

  1. Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer
  2. Strong understanding of cloud computing and Azure services
  3. Proficient in IaC tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep
  4. Knowledge of Azure monitoring, logging, and security solutions
  5. Scripting skills (PowerShell or Bash)
  6. Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  7. Azure certification(s) preferred (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
