Interesting and varied aviation purchasing role supporting a purchasing supervisor in this established and prestigious engineering organisation.

The role involves the purchasing of aircraft parts, consumables and associated materials and it is essential that you have some experience within aviation purchasing. This opportunity is working on a 4 on 4 off day shift (7am to 7pm) and may also require occasional emergency cover assistance. (n.b. We also have a m-f day shift role available on a fixed term contract)

Key points of the role are to support:

  • The efficient purchasing of Materials, parts and equipment.

  • Progress chasing and shortage reporting

  • New supplier research and evaluation

  • Ensuring stock levels are within defined parameters

  • Supplier problem evaluation

  • Continuous improvement the purchasing function

  • Coordination of any customs and excise paperwork

You should be used to ERP systems and able to work under pressure, occasionally in time critical situations. Due to location it is essential that you drive.
