Audit Assistant Manager (West End, London)
Our client, an established independent firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking an Audit Assistant Manager to join their team in London, West End.
The role will involve you managing a diverse portfolio of clients, as well as leading, coaching and developing staff within the Audit Team.
Duties will include:-
- Monitoring and controlling the audit team - reviewing the teams work, ensuring quality in compliance with professional standards
- Overseeing and controlling the completion of audit assignments including assessing controls, systems and planning
- Manage client relationships and identify opportunities; think strategically by understanding the client’s needs, their business and key risks
- Maintaining a high technical and professional standard
- Managing the team, budgets and performance objectives
- Business development and identifying and winning new clients
- Working closely with the Managers and Partners in the planning and conduct of audit assignments, discussing findings, emerging risks and actions to address identified risks.
You will ideally hold a professional qualification such as ACCA/ACA, as well as having a strong audit background within practice, with technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards. You will also have experience of leading and managing audit teams, with an understanding of systems and risk based auditing.
It would also be an advantage if you have a good working knowledge of accounting programmes such as Caseware, Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, Alphatax and CCH, as well as experience of HAT audit methodology.
