Role Overview

Savills Debt Advisory team is highly experienced in providing debt advice to our clients on new origination, refinancing and restructuring situations, across the UK and Europe and covering all real estate sectors.

The specialist advice of the team delivers our clients a host of benefits in a real estate debt market that has an increasingly large and complex lender pool.

We are looking to hire an experienced professional to join Savills growing Debt Advisory business, based in London (West End) but with a European remit. The new team member will be instrumental in rolling out our capabilities across Europe.

The primary objective of the role is to provide debt advisory services to Savills clients across all sectors and European geographies, as well as to other Savills teams as they interact with the debt markets in the course of their transactional mandates. The workload and the environment will be varied, fast paced, exciting and rewarding. Having a passion for delivering advice and outputs of the highest standard is a must.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, either in real estate debt from a financial services background or from within a real estate firm.

Headquartered in London, we work closely with specialist Savills colleagues across our unmatched network of offices in the UK and Europe, as well as colleagues in over 700 global offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Interfacing with Savills European offices to provide a value added service to clients
• Pitching to clients to secure new debt advisory assignments
• Running debt advisory assignments
• Liaising and negotiating with clients and lenders
• Collaborating with capital markets teams across Savills on spec work and client mandates
• Working on Investment Memorandums and other client and market-facing collateral
• Participating in divisional and sector working group meetings and follow ups

• Excellent organisational and work prioritisation skills, managing multiple projects through to delivery
• Ability to use initiative to troubleshoot/ offer alternative solutions
• Interest in and desire to learn more about the real estate sector
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships
• Capable of taking a lead role in pitches, discussions and negotiations with clients and lenders
• Strong analytical skills in either finance, real estate or both
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
• Strong attention to detail
• European languages and experience in European countries is advantageous
